Yes, I made a miniatures game based on Robin Hood. It's called Merry Men and will be debuting at Dragonmeet 2025, after which it will be available online at Wargame Vault and Itch (and possibly this site?)
| Merry Men; where Robin Hood and his band of outlaws battle the Sheriff of Nottingham and his soldiers. |
Merry started life as a One Box Wargame, that being a set of game rules that only required one box of miniatures to play. Whilst I have some special character models from here and there, nearly everything you need to play Merry Men can be found in a single box of Oathmark Human Light Infantry, the box that actually inspired the game's creation in the first place.
Dragonmeet will be held at the Excel London Saturday November 29th 2025 and Goblin Green shall be there, stand F-5.
After the show, I shall begin a series of posts going into the design of Merry Men, from first ideas to final print. I'll also dive into what it takes for a solo game design/trader to exhibit at a show like Dragonmeet.
