Good question.
A good friend once said to me, "You do too much." She wasn't wrong.
Goblin Green is a place to bring together all the various tabletop projects I'm either working on or wish to bring to life. A label if you will. Or worst still, a brand.
Why Goblin Green though?
Back in the 90s, when I first got into Warhammer as an 11 year old, it was standard practice to paint the bases of the models in Citadel's Goblin Green paint*. A practice that fell but the wayside as "tacky" but eventually came back round as symbolic of something nostalgic. I'm not the first and I won't be the last to seize upon that symbolism, filled with all that sentiment, all those stories, as an attempt to recapture those feelings of exploring those tabletop game worlds. I'm just the one who spent £16 to buy the domain name.

So what to expect of Goblin Green?
Well, firstly this will now be the new home of Fanatical, the sci-fi/fantasy short story magazine that I've managed to get two issues of out so far. It's been a challenge, but I hope to keep Fanatical going through 2024 with regular issues.
Also, Let Them Fight! A sci-fi/fantasy miniature wargaming... magazine? Book? Let's call it an Annual. Inspired by the White Dwarf issues of yesteryear, I want it to cover multiple games and hobby projects, as varied as my own interests. I aim to get that out by the end of the year. In fact I have a specific date in mind; as with most of the projects I want to work on over this year, I aim to showcase my stuff at Dragonmeet 2024 (early December).
There will also be assorted blogs, reviews and development diaries throughout the year on the games I plan to produce.
So, off we go.
*Games Workshop doesn't produce this paint any more and to the best of my knowledge, no one can own the concept of Goblins or Green, with no less than 4 paint companies producing their own version of the Goblin Green colour today.
